What are parents & students saying about us?
{ R. O. } Parent of Kindergartener
We sent my daughter since this June, and we are pleased with Sage Academy school.
***Individual based learning***
My daughter has been really enjoying what she has been studying. She is attentive and eager to learn individual study materials that is tailored to her academic progress and understanding. On a trial day, you can sit inside the classroom with kids and observe how the teacher teaches students of various age groups and academic levels. It is impressive and eye-opening to see her constantly assessing each kid's progress and giving them encouragement. After observing the class for about an hour, my intuition told me that my daughter would enjoy this class, and I definitely feel like I made a right decision.
Before my daughter joined Sage Academy, she couldn't speak English fluently because it was her 2nd language. Since she joined Sage, she has been always looking forward to going to Sage and learning. She already finished kindergarten math in the first six months and started 1st grade math and also started enjoying reading after the teacher taught her phonics.
I recommend all parents to observe a class on a trial day!
***Different age groups in the classes***
Approximately ten students from kindergarten to elementary school are in one class. Similar to Montessori school method's use mixed age group education, I felt the following benefits of having various age students in her class.
1) Eliminates unnecessary competition as every child is at a different level of learning. She has never felt left behind even though she couldn't speak English fluently.
2) Children tend to learn from their peers more than from adults. My daughter respects older kids, especially those who mentored her, and they became her role models.
3) My daughter learned how to bond with others who are not her age.
***Clubs***
Sage Academy provides various clubs, such as music, drama, cooking, and soccer clubs. As a working parent, I really appreciate that Sage offers clubs at the end of school. My daughter enjoys all of the clubs she took, but her favorite one was the Life Skill class taught by Ms. Laura. Every time she came back from school, she was excited to share the things she learned in the Life Skill Class, such as how to sew, wash dirty socks, manage anxiety and control anger.
{ T. D. } Parent of 2nd Grader
My son was falling behind in a different school, Sage was able to take a step back and address critical missing information before bringing him up to speed. He truly looks forward to going to school and I can’t recommend this school enough. Thanks to Sage!
{ S. H. } Junior High Parent
This school saved my son from himself, he went from being 2 grade levels behind and getting suspended one day every week to loving school. He now gets mostly A's, no more discipline problems, and filled in the learning holes he had in the 2 years he has been a student at SAGE. The kind positive motivational atmosphere combined with a smaller class size, as well as a curriculum that meets him where he is at, is what made him successful. The teachers care deeply for the success and wellbeing of their students as if each student were their own child. If your looking for a homeschool atmosphere with added structure to elevate your child's learning then this is the school for you.
{ D. D. } Parent Teacher Review
I've had the pleasure of working with Sage Academy's teachers and they are all great! This hands on environment will get your children in tip top shape and ready life. My son worked with 3 teachers, did well and learned a lot. I highly recommend this school!
{ L. F. } Summer Camper to Student!
My daughter just started before Summer Camp and last week she told me it’s “the best school in the whole world”
...updated...
My daughter (8) is an independent learner and thinker who needs guidance without being crushed. She's been thriving since attending Sage Academy at age 6. She's happy and doing amazingly well academically. She loves to learn and make friends. I am always thankful I found this school for my daughter.

I love Sage Academy. It is very personalized. The teachers KNOW their business of how to teach children. They treat children with respect and correct them through teaching them. My granddaughter excelled when she went to Sage. She has friends and they all really have fun there too.
I saw a boy who could hardly read that came from another school just really come out of his shell, now is helpful and loving it there too.
Another teenager, I heard her graduation speech and she voiced how she was before and how she is now. So good.
I am so glad we put my granddaughter there. She’s only 8 and is reading a lot and creating a lot of art on her own.
Thank you Sage teachers for creating such a safe environment where kids can really appreciate and know the purpose of learning and go there TO learn.
{ L. H. } Parent of 2 High School Students
My son and daughter both went to SAGE Academy throughout high school. The teachers there truly care about the kids and go to amazing lengths to support each student's individual needs. Behind in science? They will customize a program to catch you up! Working on calculus in 9th grade, but working on 9th grade work in all the other classes? They'll customize a math program so that you can work at your skill level. As the class sizes are very small (usually less than 10 student's per grade), each student gets time and attention from the teacher. The children have the freedom to work on individual projects, teach the younger students once they have mastered a skill (executive functioning!), and work on their social skills under the guidance of their teachers, who observe their social interactions (which they can easily do with such small class sizes), and ensure all students treat each other with kindness and respect. Regarding the elementary school, Sid is one of the best teachers I have ever met! He works magic with those kids, and they adore him, following him around like puppies.Sid is also the school counselor for all grades, and I have seen him take multiple teens who were rude, dismissive and challenging, and transform them to a kind person who is eager to learn. The school is so small and intimate; it feels like a large family. Everyone knows everyone, and parents help other parents out all the time, with many parents involved at the school on a weekly basis. The band classes are very popular, as many students have musical talent. At SAGE, children are taught so much more than academics; they are taught to be inquisitive, artistic, curious, expressive, respectful, and kind.

My kids started going to this school some months ago. They are loving it. Everyday they are excited to go to school which is not very common. The school is clean. The teachers are great with the kids. The classes are small, so there is a lot of one on one teacher time. I get constant updates and reports on how my kids are progressing. They are very caring and very experience trained teachers. I recommend this school to any parent that is looking for a safe, well structured and balanced education with a great group of teachers.

My daughter was actually struggling as she was entering school. She started behind and couldn't read. Now, she flourishes and reads EVERYTHING she possibly can. She loves her school and class and never once has come home complaining or not wanting to go to school.
Learning isn't a chore anymore and she strives to do better each day. SAGE has given that opportunity to her.
{ B. K. } Parent of Elementary Student
Our child has been to 2 other private schools in the area (Stratford for preschool and Yavneh Day School for elementary school) and we prefer the small and positive learning environment at Sage. In just one semester [the teacher] was able to help our child catch up on all the learning she missed at her prior school due to the disruptive learning environment. She is 1 grade ahead in language arts and even more ahead in math. We took her for assessments at Hillbrook and Stratford to make sure that she was challenged academically. Both schools (that charge 2 to 3 times the tuition) expressed that she was doing really well. For example, when she took the Stratford entrance exam she completed the test within half the time with a score of 98%. The passing rate for the entrance exam is 80%. Therefore, we have chosen to keep her here over other schools that also have excellent reputations.

Sage Academy is a school with a big heart! It fosters a love of learning with understanding. All the teachers are some of the best that I have ever seen. They are always positive and cheerful. They have a genuine love of teaching. Apart from this, they also foster each child's individuality. I would definitely rate this school as OUTSTANDING!
{ K. T. } Parent of Elementary Student
My child has been attending Sage Academy for more than a year, and the results are amazing. From a kid who was never interested in anything school related, he is now budding into an avid reader. He is also developing an interest in music and is learning how to play the piano. As a parent, I love how the student-to-teacher ratio is kept low to allow more one-on-one time. The teachers are so dedicated, caring and involved, and see the kids as more than just another student. I strongly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a fun, safe and nurturing environment to educate their child.
